BIOM INSTRUCTORS

Our Instructors make BIOM so successful. The quality of instruction is mirrored in our extremely high first time pass rate for the National Exam. You, like us, expect to receive unequaled instruction, don’t you? That is only possible when your teachers have years of experience in their respective fields and have a love of teaching. Well, ours have that for sure, as well as a knack for making learning enjoyable. Our program is by no means a cake walk but our instructors make it as easy and as pleasurable as possible for you. Think of it as a challenge with a smile.

Our five core instructors are:

Tim Barlen, LMP, C.HT - Reiki, Change Technology
Tim, the owner of BIOM has been a Licensed Massage Practitioner for over five years, a Reiki Instructor for fifteen years and certified hypnotherapist for sixteen years. His in-depth training in Neuro-Linguistic Programming and Public Speaking has allowed Tim to develop The Change Tech Program for massage students and professionals alike.

Pam Foster, LMP - Director of Education, Massage As A Business
Pam has been a Licensed Massage Practitioner for over eighteen years and has been an instructor of Clinical Massage, Business and Ethics for over eleven years. Having managed clinics, worked as an employee as well as owned and operated her own practice, Pam brings that knowledge into her teaching Massage As A Business, sharing vital information for the benefit of the students and the profession.

Jack Gilyard, LMP - Massage Theory and Practice, Chair Massage
Jacks first  massage training was nearly 30 years ago in Japanese Shiatsu.  He draws upon a wide range of experience for teaching including time as a circus acrobat, film and tv stuntman, copy writer and stage performer.  Jack, licenced in WA for 10 years, particularly enjoys the social aspect of chair massage, often combines stand up comedy with massage training.

Coleen Renee, LMP, CSH- Kinesiology and Pathology, Swedish Massage

Dr. Mattocks has been teaching biology, anatomy and physiology for twenty years. He developed our A&P curriculum, the equivalent of two quarters of University course work, and has been teaching it
